Tolls and vignettes, country by country
When you enter Switzerland, Austria, Slovenia, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Moldova or Belarus, the app reminds you that the vignette is compulsory and where to buy it.
Swiss francs, pounds sterling, kroner and kronor, dirhams, dinars or Canadian dollars: the amount is shown in the local currency, with its euro equivalent whenever the European Central Bank publishes the exchange rate.
The app speaks thirteen languages and keeps yours on both sides of every border. Toll plaza names stay as they appear on the signs.
On the A13, A14 and A79, around Milan, at Dartford, on Dublin's M50 or in Portugal, gantries have replaced the barriers: this is free-flow tolling.
You drive under the gantry without stopping. With a toll tag, the toll is charged automatically.
Without a tag, you pay the toll online afterwards: 72 hours in France, a deadline that varies by country.
Once the deadline has passed, the operator adds a surcharge.
The amount appears and is read out loud, with the deadline to pay: Toll Dozulé, 4 euros 20. Pay online within 72 hours.
At the end of the trip, the app announces the amount and the deadline. The summary opens the operator's official website in one tap, with the steps to follow.
One reminder the next day, another shortly before the deadline, always between 9 am and 9 pm. Tap “I've paid” and the app stops mentioning it.

Once the deadline has passed, the operator adds a surcharge. In Norway and Sweden there is nothing to do: the bill arrives on its own, and the app says so in the summary. Deadlines taken from the operators' official websites.
The toll is charged automatically. Say so once in the settings and the app no longer mentions payment.

They are estimates calculated from the official price lists (class 1 by default, adjustable in settings). They are not binding: only the amount charged by your toll-badge operator or the motorway company is authoritative.
No. Péage Notif is independent of every operator and collects no tolls. It tells you the estimated price as you pass. On free-flow motorways (A13, A14, A79…), without a toll tag, you pay online afterwards: the app reminds you of the amount and the deadline.
GPS only runs during tracking you have started. At rest the app uses nothing, and when you are stopped it slows the GPS down. If you forget to stop tracking when you arrive, it asks whether the trip is over.
During the trip, tap the report button and say what is wrong. Afterwards, go to Settings › Report a problem, or write to support@peagenotif.fr. These reports go straight into correcting the toll database.
